Approval for Veterans Training<\/h2>

The programs at College of Hair Design are approved for Veterans Training and Nebraska Rehabilitation Services Training.<\/p>

Veteran\u2019s Policy Statements at CHD<\/h2>

Consistent with the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018, Section 3679 of title 38, United States Code, Section 103, College of Hair Design will not impose any penalties due to the delayed disbursement of a payment by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs on recipients of Chapter 31 and Chapter 33 VA Benefits. College of Hair Design will permit any covered individual to attend or participate in the course of education during the period beginning on the date on which the individual provides College of Hair Design a certificate of eligibility for entitlement to educational assistance under chapter 31 or 33, and ending on the earlier of the following dates:<\/p>

  1. The date on which payment from the VA is made to the institution or<\/li>
  2. 90 days after the date the institution certified tuition and fees following the receipt of the COE (Certificate of Eligibility).<\/li> <\/ol>

    Additionally, College of Hair Design will not require that a covered individual borrow additional funds, on any covered individual because of the individual\u2019s inability to meet his or her financial obligations to College of Hair Design due to the delayed disbursement of funding from the Department of Veterans Affairs under chapter 31 or 33.<\/p>

    A Covered Individual is any individual who is entitled to educational assistance under chapter 31, Vocational Rehabilitation, or chapter 33, Post 9\/11 GI Bill\u00ae benefits, and has been verified by the school certifying official as benefit eligible. This requirement is limited to the portion of funds paid by VA.<\/p>

    In addition, statute allows College of Hair Design to require the covered individual to take the following additional actions:<\/p>

    1. Submit a certificate of eligibility for entitlement to educational assistance no later than the first day of a course of education.<\/li>
    2. Submit a written request to use such entitlement.<\/li> <\/ol>

      Principles of Excellence for VA GI Bill\u00ae Education Benefits at College of Hair Design<\/h2>

      In 2012, President Obama issued Executive Order 13607 directing his administration to design a set of principles that protect veterans and service members who receive federal education benefits. This executive order established what is called \u201cPrincipals of Excellence\u201d to provide oversight and accountability to the VA GI Bill\u00ae Education Benefits for Educational Institutions serving Service Members, Veterans, spouses, and other family members. The Principles of Excellence are guidelines that College of Hair Design has agreed follow. These guidelines include:<\/p>
